Types of Inverters for Solar Systems

There are a few main types of inverters used in solar systems:

  • Central Inverters: Large-scale installations might use a single central inverter for all the panels. This is cost-effective but can be less efficient if individual panels have issues.
  • String Inverters: These connect a group of panels (a string) to a single inverter. While more efficient with shading or panel problems, they require more inverters, increasing cost.
